Bhigwan Bhigwan is a small town around 100 kms away from Pune and is also referred to as the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra”, as it becomes a hotbed of migratory birds during the winter. Bhigwan is at one end of the huge Yashwant Sagar reservoir, forming the backwaters of the Ujain dam. One of the main attractions during the migratory season is the arrival of the pink greater flamingos. During the months of early jan – late feb, this place is thronged by bird lovers from all over Maharashtra. Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary The sanctuary consist of dry deciduous scrub forest with interspersed grasslands. The main species are Acacia catechu (Khair), Acacia sp. Kala Ghoda The name literally means Black Horse. The crescent-shaped Kala Ghoda precinct is Mumbai's premier art district. TATR is created by amalgamating Tadoba National Park & Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The total area under the Project Tiger is 1727.6 sq.km with core area being 625. 82 sq.km and the rest 1101.78 sq.km constitute the buffer zone. The core area concept denotes critical tiger habitat which is subject to intense conservation measures with human intervention being minimal. The lifeline of the park are the Andhari River, Erai Dam, Kolsa Lake, Junoria Lake and the Tadoba Lake. Yogi Hills Yogi Hills is situated in Mulund west. Time to reach at top is around 45-60 mins (varies person to person). During monsoon season one can see many waterfalls.
