Mumbra Devi Temple Mumbra Devi Temple is situated in Parsik Hill. It is a temple situated at a height of 210 meters appx above sea level. One has to climb numerous steps in order to reach temple. An average person can reach the temple under 20 mins. The Mumbra Devi temple can be seen from the local train as the the train approaches Mumbra. It looks as if its near but is at a great height. One can see whole plains from the temple. The temple is made in rocks and now concrete structures are built. Global Vipassana Pagoda The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation Hall near Gorai, North-west of Mumbai, India. It is built on donated land on a peninsula between Gorai creek and the Arabian Sea. The pagoda is to serve as a monument of peace and harmony. The Global Vipassana Pagoda has been built out of gratitude to the Buddha, his teaching and the community of monks practicing his teaching. Its traditional Burmese design is an expression of gratitude towards the country of Myanmar for preserving the practice of Vipassana. The shape of the pagoda is a copy of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. It was built combining ancient Indian and modern technology to enable it to last for a thousand years. The center of the Global Vipassana Pagoda contains the world's largest stone dome built without any supporting pillars. Ranichi Baug       Jijamata Udyaan (Marathi: जिजामाता उद्यान) formerly called Ranichi Bagh (meaning Queen's Gardens) after the original British name Victoria Gardens, and now also known as Veermata Jijabai Bhonsle Udyan, is a zoo and garden located at Byculla, in the heart of Mumbai, India. It was laid out in 1861 and is one of the oldest zoos in India. Also, situated in the Gardens is the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum (formerly Victoria and Albert Museum), mainly of industrial and agricultural interest. On the grounds to the east of the museum is the giant statue of an elephant, taken from the Elephanta Caves on Gharapuri to Britain in 1864, and later returned to these gardens. Mahim Nature Park Located on the southern bank of Mithi river, and at Bandra-Sion Link Road, the Mahim Nature Park lie at Mahim, close to Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. Though the nature park is near Dharavi, which is said to be the largest slum of Asia, yet the nature park contains its natural beauty in its most pristine way, and have become a favorable escape from pollution-ridden city life of Mumbai. Said to be the Green Lung of Mumbai, the Mahim Nature Park provides Mumbaikar a very pleasant escape from the pollution-ridden life of the city. Being fine abode to several species of flora and fauna, the park is visited mostly by nature lovers.
