Flamingo-Graphy  Moments Shoot's Photo walk for capturing beautiful Flamingos and other birds Description Sewri aka Shivdi is one of the 7 original islands of which formed Mumbai. It also has a fort and the remnants can be seen today also. In 1996, the mangrove swamps of Sewri were declared a protected ecology. Lesser Flamingos from other parts of India come to these mangroves to breed. They arrive at the mudflats from the month s of October to March every year, but they can be spotted there till it starts raining. This photo walk is for whom? Moments Shoot's Photo Tour 36 - Velas Turtle Festival 2015 on 7-8 Mar 2015 (6 Mar Night Travel)

Velas Turtle Festival 2015 Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra, in joint collaboration with the Forest Department, Ratnagiri, Kasav Mitra Mandal Velas and the Velas Gram Panchayat is organising Turtle Festival. The event will be held until the emergence of hatchlings continues. The erratic climatic conditions, including the late onset of winter, have made it difficult to predict the exact dates on which the turtle hatchlings will emerge. Hence, tourists should check the website or the facebook page to get the latest updates on the dates of emergence before visiting. The sites will be updated twice daily. Once the hatchlings begin emerging from the nests, they do so for the subsequent two days, on which they may be viewed.   Bankot This was the first residency of the British Raj in Southern Konkan.
