Moments Shoot's Photo Walk 19 - Pagoda & Gilbert Hill @ Borivali-Andheri Global Vipassana Pagoda The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation Hall near Gorai, North-west of Mumbai, India. It is built on donated land on a peninsula between Gorai creek and the Arabian Sea. The pagoda is to serve as a monument of peace and harmony. The Global Vipassana Pagoda has been built out of gratitude to the Buddha, his teaching and the community of monks practicing his teaching. Its traditional Burmese design is an expression of gratitude towards the country of Myanmar for preserving the practice of Vipassana. The shape of the pagoda is a copy of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. It was built combining ancient Indian and modern technology to enable it to last for a thousand years. Yeoor is a location in Thane district in Maharashtra, India that lies in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. It is known for its panthers and wildlife. Yeoor Hills (or also known as Mama Bhanja Hills) is a hill station of Thanaites. This naturally beautiful and pollution free area attracts lot of people. It is an unspoiled area, carpeted by natural foliage and fauna. Yeoor Hills is home to about 78 known species of birds and about 12 different species of animals. Besides, it has the highest density of leopards in India. A trek through Yeoor Hills at the Thane end of Sanjay Gandhi National Park will be an enchanting experience. This photo walk is for whom?
