Velas Turtle Festival 2016 Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra, in joint collaboration with the Forest Department, Ratnagiri, Kasav Mitra Mandal Velas and the Velas Gram Panchayat is organising Turtle Festival. The event will be held until the emergence of hatchlings continues. The erratic climatic conditions, including the late onset of winter, have made it difficult to predict the exact dates on which the turtle hatchlings will emerge. Hence, tourists should check the website or the facebook page to get the latest updates on the dates of emergence before visiting. The sites will be updated twice daily. Khotachiwadi is a Heritage village in Girgaon, Mumbai. If being in 21st century if one want to go back to past and know how was old Mumbai some 100 to 150 years before, then this is a place to be seen. This is Mumbai's oldest preserved settlement. It is comprised of a collection of charming vernacular-style houses, a unique example of 19th century architecture that has survived the onslaught of the modern builder. As you stroll down the unique streetscape of this heritage precinct, you will pass by the beautifully-painted buttercup yellow, red and green cottages belonging to the East Indian community that settled in this area in the early-1800s. It was founded by Khot, a Pathare prabhu, who sold plots of land to local East Indian families. There used to be 65 of these houses, now reduced to 28 as old buildings are being pulled down to make way for new skyscrapers. Moments Shoot's Photo Tour to "Tadoba in Monsoon" Wild Life Safari on 6-7-8 Aug 2016 Note: Only one Main road of 25 KM will be available for Safari. Tadoba TATR stands for Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve since it was included in the Project Tiger Program in the year. TATR is created by amalgamating Tadoba National Park & Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The total area under the Project Tiger is 1727.6 sq.km with core area being 625. 82 sq.km and the rest 1101.78 sq.km constitute the buffer zone. The core area concept denotes critical tiger habitat which is subject to intense conservation measures with human intervention being minimal.  The lifeline of the park are the Andhari River, Erai Dam, Kolsa Lake, Junoria Lake and the Tadoba Lake. The river and water storage systems provide year long supply for fresh water to this amazing ecosystem. Talaopali Talao Pali (Masunda Lake, Marathi : मासुंदा तलाव) is a lake located in Thane in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The lake is surrounded by roads on all sides including Shivaji path(including STATIS flyover), Uthalsar road and Talao pali road. The lake is located about 600 m west of Thane creek and a kilometer north of Thane railway station. This is one of the recreational areas for people who live in Thane which offers boating and water scooter facilities.
