Bhandup Pumping Station

Bhandup Pumping Station is a relatively unknown place to a lot of people and is not as famous as say SGNP. But it is easily accessible for both Mumbaikars as well as out of towners. If you go by local train Nahur is the nearest local train station from which you can easily get a bus or auto rickshaw to take you to the Pumping Station. If you are driving then (from the Mumbai side heading to Thane) take a U-turn under the Airoli flyover and look for a small turn to the left. This is a narrow but tarred road and you can drive on this road close up to the lake. You can then park and do the rest of the trek on foot.

Photo Walk Schedule:
  • Gather at Nahur Station @ 6:30 am 
  • Head towards Bhandup Pumping by local transport @ 6:45 am
  • Start the Trail around 7:00 am
  • The trail will end by 11:00 am
  • Bid adieu and return to respective destinations.

Things to Carry:
1. 1-2 Ltrs Water (Must)
2. Cap (Must)
3. Breakfast (Must)
4. Wear neutral color cloths (Must) - Do not wear bright color cloths
5. Mosquito Repellent cream
6. Binoculars (Optional)
6. Camera (Optional - Capture the moments in your Heart !!!)


Cost:

All expenses will be done as per they arise, by individual members, This event is for Photography and fun.

  • All our Photo-walks are Eco-friendly, kindly take care of the nature around us. 
  • Smoking and Drinking alcohol during, Photo-walk is strictly prohibited if anyone found doing that will be expelled from Photo-walk without refund.
  • Respect the Heritage and culture. Do Not Litter, Participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose of it in dustbins.
  • Leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
