Moments Shoot's Photo Walk 4 - Gate Way of India, Banganga & Kamla Nehru Park 10th Nov 2013

Kyani Restaurant
Kyani Restaurant is located in Metro Cinema, Mumbai, Maharashtra that provides you best food service.

It offers Non Veg dishes and mouth watering delights. In spite of the fast-paced life of the city, time moves in slow motion in Irani cafes. The few remaining in the city still retain the old world charm with casually dressed waiters, wooden chairs, and marble top tables. People from all walks of life come to enjoy simple, yet tasty food of Iranian cafes.

Gate Way of India
The Gateway of India is a monument built during the British Raj in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India. Located on the waterfront in the Apollo Bunder area in South Mumbai, the monument overlooks the Arabian Sea.The gateway is a basalt arch, 26 meters (85 feet) high.

It lies at the end of Chhatrapati Shivaji Marg at the water's edge in the harbor of Bombay Previously, it was a crude jetty used by the fishing community which was later renovated and used as a landing place for British governors and other prominent people. In earlier times, the gateway was the monument that visitors arriving by boat would have first seen in Mumbai. The gateway has also been referred to as the Taj Mahal of Mumbai, and is the city's top tourist attraction.

Taj Hotels
The history of Mumbai and The Taj Mahal Palace are dramatically intertwined. The hotel is Mumbai’s first harbour landmark (built 21 years before the Gateway of India).

For more than a century, the Taj has played an intrinsic part in the life of the city, hosting Maharajas, dignitaries and eminent personalities from across the globe. Today it is a Leading Hotel of the World and favourite destination for discerning business travellers.

Banganga
A sacred tank surrounded by four hundred-year-old temples and modern skyscrapers. Nowhere are Mumbai's paradoxes more evident than at Banganga. Part of an ancient temple complex, the water in this tank is believed to come from the Holy Ganges.

It sprung forth when Rama, the exiled hero of the epic Ramayana stopped at the spot five thousand years ago, in search of his kidnapped wife Sita. Overcome with fatigue and thirst, he asked his brother Laxman to bring him some water. Laxman instantly shot an arrow into the ground, and water gushed forth from the Ganga, over a thousand miles away. Although the story is the stuff of legend, the tank has always been sacred. On pious occasions, thousands turn up to take a ritual dip in its mossy waters, and offer flowers at the ancient Banganga Temples.

Kamala Nehru Park
Situated on top of Mumbai's Malabar Hill, this park is named after Jawaharlal Nehru's wife, Kamala Nehru. It extends over an area of about 4,000 square feet and provides a glistening sight of the city of Mumbai. From this garden, one can enjoy the spectacular sight of the Chowpatty Beach and also Marine Drive (Queen's Necklace).

Kamala Nehru Park is a shoe-shaped structure, with widespread lush greenery. The panoramic view of the city attracts tourists to this place every year. Kamala Nehru Park is one among the most commonly visited places by children in the city of Mumbai. Well-maintained green lawns make for a cool atmosphere making this garden one of the most pleasant places in the city. Since the park is situated at a height, it is less humid. This is indeed a comforting feature for a city which generally has high humidity. Scroll further and find out more interesting facts about Kamala Nehru Park.
