After a memorable tour of Kanha in December 2016. 3/5 members (Amrendra, Ashwini & Shyam) were excited to visit Tadoba in somewhere in Mar or Apr 2017. So I have started planning the tour and we have finalised the dates 24-26 Mar. Meanwhile Amol and Avik also joined. We have done all the bookings in December itself to avoid last minute rush. Day Before the Event, 23 Mar 2017: We have boarded the Train and the journey started. As Avik works in Bangalore, he supposed to join us on 24th Mar on Nagpur Airport. Everyone was excited to visit Tadoba. After Tadoba discussions we had dinner and went to sleep. 24th Mar 2017: We all woke up around 6:30 am and as soon I started my mobile I got a call from Avik, unfortunately he had missed his flight due to some accident happened to other vehicle on his way to airport and he missed the flight by 5 to 10 mins. Kala Ghoda The name literally means Black Horse. The crescent-shaped Kala Ghoda precinct is Mumbai's premier art district. The area, full of museums, art galleries, educational institutions, boutiques and restaurants has a large number of heritage buildings in the city and is home to the Jehangir Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Prince of Wales Museum and The Arts Trust. Moments Shoot's Photo Tour to "Tadoba" Wild Life Safari - The Jewel of Vidharba on 24-25-26 Mar 2017 Tadoba TATR stands for Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve since it was included in the Project Tiger Program in the year. TATR is created by amalgamating Tadoba National Park & Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The total area under the Project Tiger is 1727.6 sq.km with core area being 625. 82 sq.km and the rest 1101.78 sq.km constitute the buffer zone. The core area concept denotes critical tiger habitat which is subject to intense conservation measures with human intervention being minimal.  The lifeline of the park are the Andhari River, Erai Dam, Kolsa Lake, Junoria Lake and the Tadoba Lake. Bhandup Pumping Station Bhandup Pumping Station is a relatively unknown place to a lot of people and is not as famous as say SGNP. But it is easily accessible for both Mumbaikars as well as out of towners. If you go by local train Nahur is the nearest local train station from which you can easily get a bus or auto rickshaw  to take you to the Pumping Station. If you are driving then (from the Mumbai side heading to Thane) take a U turn under the Airoli flyover and look for a small turn off to the left. Velas Turtle Festival 2017 Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra, in joint collaboration with the Forest Department, Ratnagiri, Kasav Mitra Mandal Velas and the Velas Gram Panchayat is organising Turtle Festival. The event will be held until the emergence of hatchlings continues. The erratic climatic conditions, including the late onset of winter, have made it difficult to predict the exact dates on which the turtle hatchlings will emerge. Hence, tourists should check the website or the facebook page to get the latest updates on the dates of emergence before visiting. The sites will be updated twice daily.
