Kala Ghoda The name literally means Black Horse. The crescent-shaped Kala Ghoda precinct is Mumbai's premier art district. The area, full of museums, art galleries, educational institutions, boutiques and restaurants has a large number of heritage buildings in the city and is home to the Jehangir Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Prince of Wales Museum and The Arts Trust. Each year, the area hosts the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, a cultural festival promoting the arts. This photo walk is for whom? Velas Turtle Festival 2016 Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra, in joint collaboration with the Forest Department, Ratnagiri, Kasav Mitra Mandal Velas and the Velas Gram Panchayat is organising Turtle Festival. The event will be held until the emergence of hatchlings continues. The erratic climatic conditions, including the late onset of winter, have made it difficult to predict the exact dates on which the turtle hatchlings will emerge. Hence, tourists should check the website or the facebook page to get the latest updates on the dates of emergence before visiting. The sites will be updated twice daily. Named after the river that flows nearby, Pench was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1983 and in 1992, Pench was included under the umbrella of "Project Tiger" as the 19th Project Tiger Reserve.      Spread over 758 sq.kms of tropical moist deciduous forest, Pench is one of the most accessible tiger reserves in the country, and just 90 kilometres north of Nagpur. The Reserve is located in the southern part of the Satpura hill range in the Seoni and Chhindwara districts in Madhya Pradesh. Padale Gaon Padala gaon is located in Dombivali on kalyan Shilphata road. It is  is a relatively unknown place to a lot of people.  But it is easily accessible for both Mumbaikars as well as out of towners.  If you go by local train, Dombivali is the nearest local train station from which you can easily get a bus to take you to the Padale gaon. Black Kites seem to favour Padale Gaon. Sagar Upvan - Botanical Garden - Mumbai Port Trust Garden Location : Near Colaba Bus Station, Colaba, Mumbai - 400 005. Area:46,000 sq.m. The Garden Features:Numerous rare botanical species and trees dot the Garden. Additionally, there are lush green mounds, sit outs and a pathway. The Garden is presently being maintained by AIAI (All India Association of Industries). The Garden has won 1st prize number of times in the competitions organised by the “Friends of Tress” (an NGO). A Sewage treatment plant caters to the watering needs of Garden. The garden is a boon to the citizens of Mumbai in general & South Mumbai in particular.
